Combining measurements over time to allow visualization of certain aspects of the input signal or hiding of unwanted signals. All calculations can be reset by selecting the calculation mode again.
OFF disables any calculation
MIN HOLD sets the display to hold the minimum value measured. Reset the hold by selecting again. This setting is used to see stable signals that are within the noise
MAX HOLD sets the display to hold the maximum value measured. Reset the hold by selecting again. This setting can be used for many measurements such as showing the power envelope of a modulated signal.
MAX DECAY sets the display to hold the maximum value measured for a certain amount of scans after which the maximum will start to decay. The default number of scans to hold is 20. This default can be changed in the TinySA-SETTINGS menu. This setting is used instead of MAX HOLD to reduce the impact of spurious signals
AVER 4 sets the amount of running averaging to 4.
AVER 16 sets the amount of running averaging to 16.
BACK moves back to the LEVEL menu
As there is no VBW setting for noise reduction, it is advised to use averaging instead.
When averaging or holding is active the calculated value is displayed in a yellow trace. The latest acquired value is displayed in a red trace. Markers take their value from the calculated yellow trace.
